Service Description

Jewelry wax casting, also known simply as wax casting or lost-wax casting, is a traditional method used to create intricate and detailed metal jewelry pieces. It's a technique that dates back thousands of years and involves several steps to produce a final metal piece. Overview of the process: Class includes 20 grams of silver (2 large rings or 3 small rings) Wax rings: This wax model is an exact replica of the final piece of jewelry. Assembly and Investment: Multiple wax models may be assembled onto a wax "tree," which is a central wax rod with several models attached. This tree is then attached to a flask, creating a mold. The flask is then filled with a heat-resistant material called investment, usually a plaster-like substance, which surrounds the wax model and tree. Burnout: The flask is placed in a kiln or furnace, where it undergoes a controlled heating process. During this phase, the wax inside the investment mold melts and is "lost," leaving behind a cavity that matches the original wax model. Casting: Once the investment has been sufficiently heated and the wax is gone, molten metal (such as gold, silver, or other alloys) is poured into the cavity created by the melted wax. The metal fills the void, taking the shape of the original wax model. Cooling and Removal: After the metal has solidified, the flask is allowed to cool. Once it has cooled, the investment material is carefully removed, revealing the rough metal casting. Finishing: The rough casting is then cleaned, polished, and refined by a skilled jeweler to remove any imperfections, sprue marks (connections to the tree), and excess metal. Additional details or gemstones may also be added during this stage. Final Touches: The piece is further polished and finished to achieve the desired appearance, texture, and shine. Final Polishing: The piece undergoes a final polishing process to bring out its shine and luster. 3 Minimum 6 Maximum , NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY !!!
