Earrings & Pendant With Turquoise Chip Inlay
Service Description
Studio 26 Jewelry School Add a pop of Southwestern beauty to your jewelry collection by learning the art of chip inlay using vibrant crushed turquoise! In this creative, hands-on class, you’ll design and craft a beautiful earring and pendant set using sterling silver and genuine turquoise chips, learning how to blend traditional techniques with your own modern flair. This class is perfect for beginners and intermediate makers alike. You'll begin by shaping your silver components by sawing, stamping, or using pre-made forms, then create recessed designs or channels to hold the turquoise inlay. You’ll learn to use turquoise chips and epoxy or resin to fill your designs with color and texture. Once the inlay is set, you'll file, sand, and polish the surface smooth, revealing a striking contrast between the silver and the brilliant turquoise. You’ll leave the workshop with a handcrafted matching pendant and earrings set, plus the skills to use chip inlay techniques in future projects. All materials, tools, and stones are provided; no previous experience is necessary. Whether you're inspired by desert landscapes, natural gemstones, or timeless statement pieces, this is a beautiful way to explore metalwork and inlay in a fun, supportive studio setting. The class will run from 9:30 to 12:30, with a lunch break from 12:30 to 1:30. It will then continue from 1:30 to 4:30. This will be a 6-hour or less instructional class. The minimum class size is 3, and the maximum is 6. If the minimum is not met, the class might be rescheduled.
