Service Description

Forging is the process of moving and manipulating the shape of metals through heating, hammering, pressing, and rolling. In this live, virtual workshop students will learn the fundamentals of moving metal using multiple hammer forging techniques aimed at creating jewelry. How do you identify forging? Forgings. Open die forgings, if unmachined, will typically exhibit tool marks on exterior surfaces where the forging tool has pressed against the workpiece to shape it. Often, these are a multiplicity of “flat” marks where the workpiece has been hammered or pressed repeatedly during the forging process. Pre-requisite: Beginning Jewelry making . Minimum 2 and Maximum is 4, if the minimum is not met class might be rescheduled.
