Service Description

At Studio 26, you will be making a total of three flat bands. One of them will have a manufactured bezel cup with a pre-made cabochon. In addition, you will make one half-round band student-made bezel cabochon ring. Classes at Studio 26 school include using tools, with each student having a bench to use during class. Learn how to use traditional hand tools to make jewelry. We start with simple and fun practice projects to hone your skills and teach you the basics. Beginning jewelry focuses on fabrication basics: sawing, filing, sanding, texturing, polishing, and stone setting. Practicing weekly during our open bench time is a great way to build skills. The class will run from 9:30 to 12:30, with a lunch break from 12:30 to 1:30. It will then continue from 1:30 to 4:30. This will be a 6-hour or less instructional class. The minimum class size is 3, and the maximum is 6. If the minimum is not met, the class might be rescheduled. Beginning Jewelry - Teaches the following: • Making a custom bezel setting for a stone • Sawing • Filing • Sanding • Soldering • How to make a ring • Hammering and texture • Polishing and patina
